Day 1 Travel to La Paz, taxi to San Carlos ("D" on the map), rinse off the dust of travel at your hotel. Meet for dinner and an evening briefing.

Day 2 Water Taxi to "A", private surf camp of Mag Bay Tours. Start with 3 days at a private world-class longboard surf break on the Pacific side of Magdelena Island, off the Baja coast of Mexico. Enjoy consistent long rides in friendly waves with a sandy bottom. Around the corner, explore a long rocky headland.

Days 3-4 Enjoy the headland and surf breaks around surf camp. Self-cater our own meals in a quiet camp all to ourselves.

Days 5-6 Once you're warmed up in the Pacific, journey 16 miles down this classic desert island, camping out of your kayak.

Gray whales hang out both on the inside of the bay and the outside.

Arrive at "C", a fully catered yet rustic whale-watching camp with delicious local seafood and warm fresh water showers.

Day 7 Paddle a day trip from "C" and return to a spectacular dinner overlooking the whales. Explore some very wild places few people ever see.
